Media Culture Strikes Back - Questions of Pedagogy is the website of : Douglas Kellner, Professor George F. Kneller Philosophy of Education ChairGraduate School of Education, UCLA for his 2002 course, Media Culture and Cultural Studies. http://www.gseis.ucla.edu/faculty/kellner/ed270/ The 'theorists' link provides a comprehensive list of archives of writings, web sites and presentation streams by media experts. Hugely illuminating. A great resource for teachers who want more depth to draw on when teaching media awareness and critical literacy skills. The 'mulitmedia' links takes you to a collection of 9/11 video streams and mp3's - the juxtapositioning of which creates an instructive collage. Fascinating.
